will this cat pass inspection?
im looking at picking up one of those $30 cats off of ebay, I just want to know if i can pass inspection with them, i live in the hampton roads area so theres no sniffer here, just a visual inspection and my exhaust is pretty tame so no real concerns with noise.
Looks like a silencer/muffler.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it isn't a cat. The reason cats are so expensive is because they use rare/expensive metals.
I'll let you use your common sense to determine if a $32 cat has that
Catalytic converters currently account for about 35% of the platinum, 65% of the palladium, and 95% of the the rhodium used annually. All of these metals, which come mainly from Russia and South Africa, are far more expensive than gold.

Heh. I missed this little beauty in the description
So yeah ... can't be a catalytic converter if its only SS.
100% stainless steel

ive seen those.. pretty much a test pipe, but some do contain a lil cat. material. if you put a heat sheild over it and make it look like stock, they cant tell the diff.
