I ve got some seriously bad bug shit all over the front of my car. So bad that it seems to have embedded itself into the paint. I have tried wd-40 and it will not get it off... wondering if anyone has any suggestions (other than repainting)

 

might try a light water sand and buff..

 

if WD40 doesnt work.....nothing will get it!

on a side note....that gives you a reason to come to my house....i may have something to take it off

keep a good coat of wax on the bumper constantly & clean your car more often....i'm not trying to sound like a smart*** but that's the truth. the longer they stay on your paint, the more damage they can do. i always take our car to the spray off car wash near where we live b/c it shoots out HOT water & really helps take alot of the dirt & grim off the car before i go home to wash it. makes it much easier to keep it looking good. ps.....don't you have the highly modified wrx??? i would love to see it.

Id be happy to show it to you anytime... I sometimes go to fast freddies on saturdays along with Cosmo (who has the other high mod wrx... we both have stage 4's only difference is he has the FMIC and I have a TMIC). Stop by sometime or let me know when your going there and Ill be sure to show up. We usually have a roll call on here as to whos going that week.

 

A clay bar is your friend it will take anything.

 

Are you experienced with a clay bar? I'm really interested in trying to learn the proper way to clay my car. I want to clay it before I hit it with 100 layers of wax, but I'm afraid to try it for the first time without knowing exactly what I'm doing. I've read a million times what the proper procedure is, but reading and seeing first hand is completely different. If you don't mind, I'd like to see how you do it next time you clay your car. I'm not so much afraid that it would damage my car, just afraid of the tremendous amount of time that I don't have that I would potentially be wasting if I didn't do it right.

I was going to suggest goo gone or bug and tar remover; anything like that should at least HELP, in my opinion. Lots of elbow grease helps too.

 

Are others invited? Besides, I still need to trade BOV's with you. RFL is getting RFA (really fuckin' annoying).
