looking to get a bike and i need some advice on what i should look for in a used bike. so bike guys help me out, looking for either 600 or 750 but brand i dont know. help plz

 

I suggest a GSX-R 750. I think that's a good bike to start w/. I'm going to be getting a bike soon but I want a Yamaha R1.

Look at it kinda like you would a car. Look for body damage. The quality of the paint. Look for any signs of rust. Now as far as how it runs the only thing I've seen wrong w/ a bike after starting it up is smoking real bad. I don't think we want that.

I'm sure you can find a good used bike for about 7K. I've seen some nice used ones around that price b4. 97 and 98 models. Oh yeah and you also wanna look 4 mileage. Bikes shouldn't have that many miles on them. They are averaged a lot lower than cars per year.

 

worst advice ever.

i'd start on nothing bigger then a 600. and that will be plenty of power.

i've road dirt bikes all my life so i know how to ride i have never a had serious road bike though

 

Dirt bikes and street bikes are different..... 600cc or less
