Default Wanted to borrow: gas-powered auger

Would like to borrow a gas-powered auger to help in planting some trees at the new house.

Trees selected are quite large and would need three 40" and one 30" half-globe holes dug. Figured than an auger of any size bit would help churn up the soil for easier digging.

Anyone have one that I could possibly borrow for a weekend? My family's is up in Maryland and one of my brothers may not be able to bring it down for awhile.

Check out Home Depot and Lowes, they rent them by the hour, day, and weekend. Not sure on prices but I'm sure they are reasonable.

Free is a more reasonable price. Could always wait until my little bro brings it down, but maybe someone locally has one that I could use.

Nah, vertical auger typically used to drill holes for deck footings. Horizontal auger is used for tilling.
