by the way does anyone know what happened to the blue M3 in the first heat I think he was on his 3rd run and he went through the first few sequences and then it was like his car couldn't hold rpm's and didn't want to let the clutch engage, but again this is just from a spectator standpoint, I had to leave early, especially since I had alcohol and riding some jetskis awaiting me. Anyways it was a good event, and damn that Corvair really was a tail happy machine.
That blue M3 was mine. It is too early to tell but I drove the car straight to the shop after the event. It is definitely something internal like a valve or piston. I will have to wait and see when the head comes off. Hopefully it won't be too bad since i had other plans for car money besides major engine repair

.That suck James. Let us know what happened. Jerry
look on the bright side if it's the piston then you get overbored higher comp ones, along with a chip for it, and if it's a valve hmm sounds like it's time for oversized with some good cams, lol I always like to see the good side of all bad things and this is only bad becuase of the money investment
nice pics...wish i was in town for that one..
