Default Idle Surge?

I had a bad oil leak out of the main crank seal and im lazy so i took my car to honda (dad's paying for bday present)...anywyas they got the car mechanically back together...but they called me and told me that the engine surges when they start it up...

Can anybody think of anything that would cause that to happen?

Call Tuners Edge, It is a conflict in your wiring harness. I have an LS in my hatch...did the same thing as yours. Took it to them, and turns out it was a conflict in the wiring harness. They know their stuff...Props for Tuners!

common sense says it is a conflict somewhere within the electrical setup of the car... dont go pay tuners edge to do something that you can do yourself until you know you cant

does your car utilize an idle air control valve? is it throwing any codes? tell them to hook the bitch up to a scanner and tell you what it says. what all was done when they removed the crank seal? im guessin they yanked the motor out of the car?

check th IAC. could have been damaged while being worked on. that happened to me. check the pcv valve, or just buy one and put it in, its only a couple bucks. check all vaccuum lines, one couldve gotten damaged. oh yea, and make sure the wiring harness for the IAC is plugged in, the last time i took my IM off i forgot to plug it back in.

Just because one car had an issue does not necessarily mean they all will have the same issue when a similar problem occurs. I am with Nick on this, check the IAC valve if it has one. Check all lines and vacuum hoses.
