PICS OF local company CCI hacked his car
I just saw first hand motor swap done by this company Creative Customs and the charges for it.
I saw a 1000 header CUT UP and modified chgd 90hr for it 5.4 hrs, lower crossmember BENT, Pass side mount modified with ONE bolt in it, pass mount f@#$ up, Motor leans to driver side has about 1" height difference.
Bill showed where the Master Tech broke a thermo housing and charged 90 an hr to fix his F@#$ up, Car was at the shop for 2month and he was chg'd 150 for overnight shipping on clutch......
Im trying to notify people of this. I hope noone else gets raped like this...
I hear others have the same types of issues. Ill get pics and post them up. He paid over 5grand for this work.
Another friend awhile ago had his motor removed, then built by another company and this company reinstalled the same motor. First it was 800. Later when friend went to pick it up it was like 12-1500. This was because the Master Tech could not figure out the stock wiring and charged like 9hrs for trouble shooting. Apparently he didn't hook up the alternator wire, and other sensors were mismatched. Friend had to take it somewhere else to get that fixed.
I know of many other stories and all I can say is pleassssssssse read and research info before you make your decision on having these Master Tech's work on your vehicles.
5500 not including the motor.

Creative customs is the best shop around by far. I have had my cars worked on many times there and all the work was excellent to say the least. You are clearly exaggerating the truth a lot. First off yes your motor is slanted but this means nothing . All b series crx’s slant toward the front and it has nothing to do with the install just the way the car was designed and VW carado motors slant backwards.. Also the motor shown does not look too familiar so you have to keep in mind not all motor swaps look as good as honda swaps. When you take a motor not designed for a car and put it that car its not generaly going to fit right in which means stuff is going to have to be fabricated in order to make it work and fabrication usually is not pretty but it is functional. Hondas come with the motors swaped into them just not in america. The motor mount with one bolt in it yeah may not be as good as two bolts but hey what the guy supposed to do magicly make a hole appear on the motor for the second bolt. As for the $150 shipping charge you calim lets see a receipt because I have never been charged anything for shipping.. Also you calim you where charged $90 an hour to fix the manifold which seems strange considering since the labor rate is only $70 an hour. As for saying the car was there for two months well I’ve been there 8 times in the past 3 months and have never seen a car of that color and its not hard to see what cars they have considering its only a two bay shop. The only thing I have left to say is all the work they have done on my cars was reasonibly priced and excellent in qaulity. If you set up an appointment you can sit and whatch the tech work on your car and everything they do. You should not go around talking shit about a shop unless you at least know what you are talking about. LETS SEE THE BILL!.
Now that you have stated that your car is a protege no wonder the manifold doesn't look to good have you ever seen a stock one the cat is right in the middle of it and all kinds of craziness. and did you ever think maybe the lower cross member was bent to make room for the new motor. Use your brain
should've asked on Protege forums on shops that do motor swaps before taking it to Creative Customs (who apparently DOESN'T know how to swap Protege motors)....
that's an AWFUL swap, should've done more homework before dumping money in there like that.
or should've just gotten the Wagner turbo kit for the 1.6L motor...

I will post the bill NO prob here. Itll be on here with in the next two days.
You mention the motor in hondas etc leaning forward or backward... yeah thats normal and NO it doesnt fuck up the axles.
In this case the motor is higher on the pass side than the driver side. YOU ASS. That does screw up the axle angle which could cause excessive wear.
NOW before you speak you need to do some research so that your ignorance does not shine so bright.
There labor hr is 65.00, For custom fabrication it is 90.00 hr.
Also I found out that they ordered motor mounts for a 1.8L and the header for a 1.8 L knowing that they were installing a 2.0L.
the car was first brought to the shop in april and it was removed on I believe 061704. If you have a calculator please subtract and figure out how many months that was.
Well Ass let me also advise that the crossmember was bent upward to have the mount meet the motor. Not bent down to allow for rooom YOU ASS.
Maybe you can take it back there and have your motor mounts limited to one bolt... Hope you feel safe with that. Im sure you are aware that running very little HP and TQ you'll feel alittle safer with one bolt.
Good luck.
