ok heres the deal i bought a 93 hatch that had a blown timing belt. well i replaced the timing belt but realised it had some bent valves so i went ahead and put a good head on it (with good valves and shit) well i did have the head milled down and all new gaskets...now after about 300 miles on it when i first start it up it smokes..its blue so im assuming its oil. then it clears up..but the motor just bogs down when you take off then after about 2-3 seconds just takes off and runs good. what is it!!?? and can you fix it?
The last two posts are the 2 things that are most likely causing the problem. Check the valve seals first. It'd suck to have to go in and replace the piston rings only to find out its your valve seals.
im pretty sure its the rings becuase even when its warmed up and not smoking it still bogs...it bogs then comes on real hard. im lost on this one.. im sick of the whole car thing..i think its time to sell and buy another truck.
