What a huge fucking catastrophy the economy has been in for the last 3-4 years. This is ridiculous. I dont think people realize the severity of high oil prices. When oil prices go up, so does everything else. This nation is very dependent on oil not just for people to drive around, but for companies (i.e. transportation). When trucking companies make up around 5% of the GDP and their Net Income is reduced because of Expenses -- we are fucked. Airlines are making no return these days. You would think that we now control Iraq we would get some return on OUR new oil supply.

its hard for bigger parts businesses to give solid prices anymore on parts.... where I work we get a lot of stuff from overseas, but because freight/shipping is such a factor prices can go up or down 10% in a month. same problem with farmers getting their goods to market, or any business for that matter. it's tough to predict expenses when oil prices change a lot

not really, they are still pieces of shit... we should have fuel ecomonic cars and not rely on oil so much

 

i don't have a problem with paying the $1.85 i'm paying right now. I mean I would rather pay the $1.05 my older sister did when she started driving, but oh well. I just would like it to be somewhat consistent, and not fluctuate so much. Thankfully it hasn't really done that this summer
