I'm kinda lookin for an engine for a reasonable price, thats why i thought of sr20det. i want to continue to hook the gti up and that already puts a big hole in my pocket. i don't know too much about nissans so help me out here....what do the VG30DETT and RB26DETT come out of? and what is the difference between those 2 engines and the sr20det?

i've never drove/ridin in a 87 turbo b4. my brother has the 300zx non-turbo. something is wrong with it (like the cold start valve or some shit) and my brother hasn't driven it for a while. he is too lazy to get it fixed so i wanna revive it. he was trying to sell it but i don't think he cares anymore, lol.

KA24E, single cam 135-140 hp 160 lb-ft came in the 240 from 89-90. KA24DE, dual cam 155hp 160 lb-ft came in the 240 from 91+. If you can get ahold of a 91 KA24DE, grab it because it had the best cams. I believe the 91 had 240 degrees intake and 248 degrees exhaust while the other DE's had 232 intake and 238 exhaust. other then that the 91+ KA24DE's were basicly identical
