Well i know there alot of car people around tech but were are the JMU people? Its bad enough u can't have a car the first year but even those who have cars have nothin descent (dont have a clue about them). Just wonderin were everyone was at and were everyone hangs.

 

whats up man, i take it this is you first year here? after a while trust me, you will see some hot cars. if you get a chance, check out madison motorsports, it's a very good car club here. many knowledgable people here at jmu are in it. we try to hang out a good bit too...check the forum and introduce yourself! we'll have a table during student orginization night too....its on the 6th i think. ok, sorry, i'll end the shameless plug for MM now...

but anyway, there is alot of rice here. however, i've seen some very nice machinery in the past few days. there is a porsche GT3, viper GTS, and some other fine cars rolling around here. some students also have nice rides, although far less than at tech. besides, i'm sure you're too busy lookin at the fine women anyway oh yeah....as much as you might want a car here the first year, the parking permit price is refreakindiculous. anyway i hope i helped a little bit. take it easy

There are several student cars worth looking at. But as a freshman you don't spend a lot of time in the parking lots of the apt complexes or in the driveways of houses off campus so you won't see them very often.

i've actually seen a good number of nice cars as i walked around campus. i saw a black is300, black rsx, and some other cars. they looked really clean. given, there were some tasteless cars in the area. i'm planning on bringing my car up in a few weeks and leaving it parked in the apartment complexes, look out for a busted up s13 hb. maybe ill check out the car club

ah i just checked out that website, and i'm pretty sure i saw that supra driving around once too.

Ah its better off not having a nice car here or having a beater. Too many people that suck at parking and driving in general. Plus you cant forget all the morons who dont know how to act civil after a few drinks.


becareful, my freshman year someone stole the spoiler off my gsr while it was parked at a friends.

Other than that, there are plenty of nice cars around campus.. you kinda have to pay attention, i prefer to look for hunnies..

 

i say 90 percent of cars in the jmu area are rice, 7 percent have nice clean rides....and 3 percent have nice rides that wont see streets or parking lots because of all the non drivers and theives around jmu area. im not a part of the school but i consider myself to have a half decent ride. 94 blue h22 hatch, wit gsr blades.....dont drive it much like i used too. and a 01 gti 1.8t in the process of gettin a jetta frontend if i could find a person to trade me

 

yeah, i'm not in JMU, but i'm in the area. lots of cars running around, but some of them can be questionable. i'm not in a car either, but i'm into the motorsports aspect of it atleast. i like anything performance minded.

i seen the Madison Motorsports sticker on something one day (i think a Jeep), but it didn't cross my mind that it would have anything to do with JMU. forgive for saying this, but i just didn't think there were people in JMU who would be into it. it's really cool though. got the website bookmarked now. like i said, not a student though, so i don't think i join. it's cool though. i keep an eye out for those vehicles i saw in the gallery.
