who is that with the red WRX with what looked like black wheels and polished lips? my girlfriend said it looked like the car had clear tails but I couldn't really tell. had the jump on me but I was reeling you in until my girlfriend started yelling at me to slow my ass down--I looked down and we were doing 120! oooh, yeah, cheers to driving like idiots on 581. lol...

please don't encourage me to get myself in trouble people. I have little to no self control when it comes to doing foolish things on public roads. I have my limits, but it's easy to get out of hand and carried away. nice run though bro. I think I would have had you if I'd finished out that gear. You had the jump.

err, I guess some of that is directed towards the driver and some of it is directed towards drag. does anyone know if this guy is on here, first of all? does the car sound familiar chad?

 

I met the guy not long ago. Can't remember his name. I think his exact words were "I wanted to get the STi, but my mom said it was too much money". I believe he's still in HS if it's the same guy. He seemed like a pretty nice guy though. From what I know, it's stock except for a cat-back and wheels. I don't remember the clear tails, but it has been a month or so since I met him.

 

What does a virtually stock WRX top out at? It seemed like he was running out of steam and I was going to overpass before I ran out of steam too

 

I don't know. Mine wasn't stock long enough to find out. But I have heard reports of 135-140 mph.

 

i had mine bone stock buried....on a racetrack of course



it buries at 140...and i was beyond that. the AT WRX's are limited to 121 mph, last i recall. but the manuals arent.

 

Not saying either of us were out of breath at 120+ mph but it seemed like his powerband up top was definitely weaker than mine. Pretty even cars other than that, IMO, through the rest of the powerband.

 

hell ya his powerband dropped off. An AWD car, especially the WRX goes to shit after 3rd gear.

Which is why you launch on them and shut down at the end of 3rd before they can reel you in

 

yeah...but enough nitrous and you can do a 120+ pull

 

Just as long as your transmission stays together....

 

WRX's suck and will never be fast. Even with the NOS it's just never going to happen. Unless you get out and help push that bitch it's never going to go anywhere at more then a craw
