I go to Virginia Beach every weekend to surf. I always have to pay atleast $7 for parking cause I don't want to worry about getting a ticket. Does anyone know a good place that you won't get a ticket that is in walking distance to the beach?

croatan is free.
on 264, take the birdneck exit, go right (towards general booth blvd) and follow that road until motorworld is on your left. take a left onto general booth towards the oceanfront... croatan blvd will be on your right (past the museum).. lots of big houses and what not. Go down and follow the sign for "free parking year round"

although i hear they will be charging next summer. Because they just added an assload of new spaces.

theres a swimming and a surfing section.. just watch out, dont pass the fence in the water because thats military property. and i hear they confiscate your board if youre caught. have fun.

there is no such thing as croatan or the north end... virginia's beach only exists at the boardwalk

63rd street and up. You can surf in the On season Monday - Thursday no restrictions, Friday Saturday and Sunday you get hassled by the police after 11:00 am. They usually only ticket for leash violations though. 64th st area has a decent break.

 

just park two streets down from the strip. it's freer than my nutsack on freeball friday.

 

i know it may happen but ive been going to the north end 78-80th for i dunno 7-8yrs and never seen anyone ticketed up there, the pier on the other hand they hand out surfing tickets like candy
