opinion....crx sohc
what does everyone think about a 1991 honda crx si a t25 turbo kit... does this have potential or should i go ahead and start looking for a bigger swap? i know everyone is all about dohc but i wanna try something with a sohc..what are some ideal set ups with what i hve so far........
with that setup on a single cam you will easily pull on stock DOHCs. go to www.turbod16.com for some more ideas of the potential.
sohc-t in a crx is fun. if youre worried about mileage or anything, just go buy a d16y7 sohc nonvtec out of a 96-00 dx/lx. later one you can swap a y8 head. the bottom ends of the y8/y7 are built almost identical if i remember right, the only difference between heads would be the y8 has different combustion chambers and the ability to run vtec. just some ideas for you, but it could be a quick little car for cheap.
homebuilt turbo- 1000
y7 motor- 200
y8 head- 100
should get you into the 13s if you run some fuel management and get it tuned.
