Default What's the largest swap in a 90 HB?

I'm thinkig of building a motor for a 90 Hatch that I have.
The only thing I've done to it is to put in a newer 1.5 motor.
What does it take to get an h22 in there?
Is there a mount kit avail?
what about linkage issues and what ecu do you use?
I'm sure one of you are an expert on this.......

H22 is a hard swap. they do make mounts and all that.

is this car gonna be daily driven? and if so GOOD LUCK!

most H22's in hatchs and crx's are drag. I have yet to see one on the street.

The only problem with putting an h22 in a hatch or crx is that you have no more handeling. You would have to make it a drag car....you are better off going with a b series engine.

get a b series preferably b18b or b18c and build the block , have it reasleaved. boost it .... youll never need an h22.

ls turbo in a 90 is pretty nasty and its the same amount of cash out put as a h22 swap but quicker

It sounds like B series maxxed out may be the way to go......
I can pretty much fabricate and cut what ever is needed....
I put a V8 in a Pinto years ago. It was a daily driver and I dragged it.......
If I do this Hatch, I promise I will max it out.......
Any ideas will be welcomed.....I'm still learning this Honda stuff.
BTW--- Has anyone ever modified a Honda Auto Tranny for drag?

A little off topic but I will ask it anyways... my buddy has a 89 hatch with a b16 and wants to know what it takes to put a t3 .63/.60 with a four bolt flange, oil cooled turbo on there... we have the turbo.. we just want to know how to put it all together.. what manifolds and where to get them.. and how much boost we can run.. I was thinking 5-6psi straight shot.. no intercooler.. maybe a bit more if he puts a nice intercooler on there but I run 15psi no intercooler.. so I dont see why 5-6psi would need it... where do we get bigger injectors at? or do I just need a adjustable fuel pressure relulator and turn the pressure up quite a bit??? thanks
