ITR intake manifold question

Default ITR intake manifold question

ok well i bought an ITR manifold for my b16 OBD0 ...and i bolted everything up ...but there is one thing wrong ... my thermostat is on the intake manifold for the b16 and the ITR one doesnt have a place for it so what do i do /?? can i bypass the thermostat?...also what all should i have done to switch the manifolds..i have already done it but its basicly just sitting there i havent realy plugged shit up yet cuz its dark outside...this is ronna work right?...

It's not a thermostat its the fast idle valve, you need an obd 1 92-93 integra throttlebody, the fast idle is on the bottom of all obd 1 throttle bodies. But the 92-93 integra has a nipple to run to the map sensor, any other year will have the obd1 style map sensor which attatches to the top of the throttle body. So if you get a obd 1 t-body other than the 92-93 integra, make sure you get the map sensor along with it. And make sure the t-body you get has the fast idle valve attached to the bottom of it. If you bypass the fast idle your car will idle up and down when its cold I believe.

bypass it and forget about it. I heats up the TB anyways.

ok but if i bypass it wont it make my car not idle at like 1500 on cold mornings and also wont it ...make my engine temp gauge always read over heating>??

Underneath the vtec silenoid, the green plug.

And no your car will not idle right this winter, you get about a half a horse power by bypassing it.

i dont care about gaining horespower from it i just want that to by pass it cuz there is no place on the new manifold from it

bypass it....itll just take longer for your engine to warm up in the winter.

well thats wat i did but i ws talking to some guy and he said sumthing that i just thought what the fuck is he talking about..but he mentioned i could spin a bearing or sumthing from doing that?? is this guy on crack ..or could that really happen?
