Re: Battery keeps dying?
Your alternator should be putting out at least 13.5V not 12. Try this test, read the voltage at the battery with the engine not running and then againg with engine running, it should be at least 1.5 V higher with the engine running and if not it's a bad alternator and you should get it tested. Pep boys and Advanced auto will test it free of charge.

Yeah he is right, I had a problem with my old beater 89 accord the it was registering 12.5 and losing batt power, replaced the alt, and it read a consistent 14.X.

Problem: your name is Crate.

Re: Battery keeps dying?
Most likely a bad regulator, and if it's built in (most are), get another alternator. This is one of the reasons that a lot of aftermarket alts have an external regulator.

hey maybe ur wiring harness to the alternator is bad.....the alternator could be putting out 12 out of 14 amps............but its suppose to be putting 60 volts. mine was putting 12/14 amps but only 2 volts..so i had to replace the alternator wiring harness
