i installed that exact one on my brothers truck and i havent had a problem with it. i think you will need to buy a vacume switch for the remote start to work, cheap and easy to install but it doesnt come with the kit. i just used his oil pressure switch to tell the alarm when the engine has started

 

In all honesty, that alarm will probably work just as good as a Viper or a Cliffard alarm as long as it is installed correctly. If you need a wiring diagram just let me know. I install for a living so if you or anyone has any questions just pm me and i will try to help you out as much as possible.

 

If possible, install a backup 12v battery somewhere. If someone trys to short out your car to kill your alarm it will still go off.

 

Ty for all the help. the car actually has the wiring and brain of an old clifford in it already..LOL there's so much old wiring in here that I've had to remove already. Really need to get the alarm going tho b/c the stereo is getting sick. Getting a PPI 800.5 soon and just istalled PPI DCX 650s in the front doors..soooo loud and clear!

 

If you have a honda. Forget about it, cuz it get stolen either way.

 

LOL that's really positive. Yeah, of course there's a chance but the theft rate is pretty damn low in my neighborhood as I have a sherriff living 2 doors down on a dead end street. I'm only worried about the damn mall.
