To start the car has been acting funny for a good while now. I have jdm b16, and now no vtec. I have couple ideahs, but wanted to see if they are on target. It started acting funny and just randomly cutting off, then that prob stopped and it ran fine for weeks. Then it started to have times when the vtec wouldnt work.........and eventualy it would come back. Now my check engine light came on and it is running in limp mode, no vtec at all and fuel cut at 6200. It runs fine other than that, no weird noises or knocking. I just wanted to see if anyone has any ideahs beside the oil pressure sensor, and the knock sensor.

when you say lost my vtec? what are you trying to say? Sorry im VW and Fords not honda, i'd stil llike to know tho

 

i mean the car is running in limp mode and i have a fuel cut at 6200RPM. Somthing is wrong with the car, so it wont let vtec kick in.

 

If you can rev to 6200, you're not in limp home mode.

Find out what codes you're throwing first. That will help us figure out what is wrong.

Ok, well thats either 22 or 12:

Code 12 12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve
Code 22 VTEC pressure switch/valve

I dont think its 12 though. No EGR has nothing to do with vtec. So im thinking your vtec pressure switch/valve is the problem.
