I'm smart? Smartass, maybe....
But, purging happens before you run, not during. I guess what you are doing could work, but I'm not sure I see the point. But, I think it would do what you want it to do.

Eh, Greg. I don't know about that. I see bad things happening.
From driving around the water is going to be splashing all over the place and getting into the line towards your bov. I remember your bov also leaks so when in throttle it could pull some of that excess water up under your bov and through your tb? eh... like I said bad things.
Unless you put a strong checkvalve to keep water from escaping the canister then I do not know how well it would work. On a side note.. in order to get the mist you are looking at then the canister would need to be pretty full.
However if you want my thoughts on it then get an oversized catch can.. preferably one made out of metal with the in and out hoses both coming into the top of the canister. Add a checkvalve to the line connected to the bov so that when you the pressure is released into the canister the valve will close shut and the air will be forced down onto the water splashing the water around and out of the other line.
Make sure you reduce the size of the lines so you can have adequate(sp?) pressure. The whole thing still sounds pretty dangerous.. and I wouldn't want to try it.
Wouldn' it be more fun to just spray people with water guns?

so i take it the point is to spray water onto the intercooler? or just into the air?
the MSpaint drawing is so CAD inspired its confusing me....
and you will need more pressure. even at 18psi, you will have a decent sprinkle like a washer squirter....but i am still confused as to the point of doing it. the amount of time spent making the bottle and plumbing is the same as wiring up a windshield washer pump and lines, and having it actually work when you want it.

heh yea, if i can get a hold of the rear windshield wiper motor off that totaled eclipse tomorrow im gonna use it instead :-P but *sigh* it requires another stupid button in my car haha.
Try putting some sort of jet on the end of the tubing so that it will break up the water more(like a pressure washer tip, nitrous jet, ect.) Its going to loose a lot of pressure by the time it gets to the end of that tube so if there is no jet, i think the water is just gonna dribble out.
Something like a mister nozzle from the Wal-Mart garden department. I used them for my homemade intercooler sprayer, and they worked well.
