imports beating V8's in the 70's
Who said import racing is new?
as some may know Puerto Ricans are big on drag racing, specially imports, and here's a little history. Back in the day, most Puerto Ricans didnt have enough money to buy a big V8, so they settled for the import, and V8 owners made fun of them when they went to the streets or strips, but not when they started whooping their asses
This is an awesome awesome page on drag racing in Puerto Rico, I recommend you take time to look at most if not all of it, Puerto Rican or not its a great site to visit.
Anyways going back to the topic, I recommend you go straight to the section that says "history 70's up" and click on the rotary and 4cylinder icon. and look at those times!! (yeah I know, there are faster V8s in the V8 section but whatever)

<-was born in '84, wasnt sure if they cut the balls off the 72 boss/mach1 or not .. so I was basing it on the most hideous mustangs ever produced..74s :P

i was born in 81, and i have yet to see anything past the 70 BOSS, the 70.5 Z28, the 70 LS6 SS chevelle, or the 71 Challenger RT that was worth a shit.
