Who nows a shop that can do custom work?
I have a few questions. 1st does anyone know a shop around Newport News/Norfolk that can do a custom mount for my tv. Im tryin to put my tv into where my radio deck is. The monitor barely fits but i need someone that can make a mount and mount it to make it stay. 2nd Does anyone know how to mount your stereo and deck within the car but not necessarily in the dash and have it still work. Ive seen a type around NN that had the front to his deck in his sunvisor and was wondering how he did it. If anyone knows how to do this themselves or knows a shop please let me no cuz im tryin to have this project done by christmas. Any help is appreciated.
any decent car audio shop can take care of all of that.
to mount the stereo elswhere they'd just have to extend all the wires from under the dash to wherever it'll fit.
putting just the faceplate in the visor I could definitely see as being tricky, not impossible though. Look at the back of the faceplate, it's just a bunch of contacts in there that you could easily solder wires to...
IMO you'd be better off getting a double din all in one unit. For the amount of labor you'd spend in custom shit that will break and not be warrantied...
edit: specific shop...
I've heard of good work from the one on mercury b/w the interstate and jefferson. Sound Shop I think...
