Just an FYI for everyone... Carfax isn't 100% proof of anything. I ran one earlier this year on a car I made Ford buy back in Oct 2002. The buy back didn't show up and neither did the accident from when I first had it. The accident was reported to my insurance, there was a police report and Ford did the body work.

I still run Carfaxes when looking at a vehicle, but please don't take it as gospel.
