does Compression MATTER?????????
im trying to find out if lower compression means that i have to do more nos to get the same results as a smaller shot on a high comp. motor???????

from what ive seen on stock motors like gsr's compared to ls's, higher compression and nos go well together, but to answer your question i would assume yes, its just like boost, the lower the compression, the more boost you need to make power, shit im raising my compression when i decide to build my motor, more throttle response is always nice too........
I would assume that you are speaking of static compression numbers in relation to forced induction. The lower the static compression the less likely the motor is to detonate, but will normally make less horsepower at the same boost/jet size that a higher compression motor will make. Higher compression forced motors tend to need a little more care when tuning as well, that is why you see most people dropping compression thinking that it is the best way to go. Most people don't have the ability or knowledge to properly tune a higher compression forced engine.
