Congrats Joey!
Just thought I would congratulate Joey (fc735) on his recertification of his L1 Master Tech and his newly aquired Truck Tech.
Now bring this man your vehicle!

Re: Congrats Joey!
With a scanner and a nice printer I to could be a L1 master technician so I don't know what the big deal is
Is there a hand on practical test? If so, is there a part where you have to show your mastery with the use of a sledgehammer?
but all joking aside congrats I can now continue to brag that my car is only touched by a L1 master technician.

Re: Congrats Joey!
why must barry make posts right after a 10-22'd flue fire?
danka mang.
and barry-your whip rides on 22.2's too
*edit* i felt pretty damn good on my scores....
A4 Suspension and steering- 20 out of 20
A5 Brakes- 24 out of 25
A6 Electrical- i fucked up hardcore cause i forgot somethings bout generators 22 out of 25
T4 Truck hydraulic and air brakes- i havent touched an airbrake system in five years, forgot most of the valves, and somehow managed to pull a 38 out of 50 out of my ass
T5 Truck suspension and steering- 43 out of 50.
now on with my EVT certs (emergency vehicle technician) so i can legally do all work on the emergency vehicles i work on now. and get mo monies
contrary to popular belief, you can make money working on cars. my high school math and architecture teachers think i fucked up by not continuing with my ME major....but i love what i do, and i can wake up most mornings and look forward to going to work. i may not make as much as i would have being an engineer....but i love what i do, and i have this thing called pride.
not to mention a mechanic fixes engineers fuckups

Re: Congrats Joey!
Hey Joey,
You dont happen to work on rotaries do you?
I've been looking for a mechanic down here (Radford) that I trust with things that I cant do myself. Since most mechanics I've met down here dont know jack about rotaries or possibly cars in general I would like someone who I know, knows things. And I've only read good things about you from other members.
Its an 84 RX-7 GSL-SE (1.3 FI) with a rebuilt streetported motor, exhaust ect ect

Re: Congrats Joey!
well....i have worked on many of them, but i havent done much internal work. car end of it is fine, and most driveability issues are no problem, but if you want internal work done on them, i send them out to PA.

Re: Congrats Joey!
Thats works just fine, the motor was just rebuilt by a gentleman down in TN, so if anything internal fails thats where the car is going back to. I was just refering to the general mechanics and troubleshooting side of it.
If you would PM me the location and number of your shop I would be most appreciative. I do not need work done now but I would like to have it for future reference.
Thanks
Greg
