For Those Who Know About H.I.D.'s...
My buddy is purchasing a HID kit for his SC300, what bulb rating will give him the purple (not blue or white) beam appearance found in cars like an S2000, for example, an 4000K, 6000K, 8000K...etc.

6000k is purple, beyond that it gets more blue (and dark.)
If you want to check mine out some time let me know, it's a Catz 6000k (I've heard 6500k too) kit. I also have ellipsoids though, which add to the color.

S2000s use 4300K. As do Acuras. Not sure about Evos. As Cobra4B said, anything after that will get progressively more blue, then purple, and the light output goes down.
