Default Just installed Sirius in the Alpine deck.

My local sound place got their hands on a few of the first Sirius satellite radio tuners for Alpine decks, they are finally out!

I just installed it behind the dash, it's pretty crazy stuff. I activated my account on the computer, a few seconds later one of the lines on the display changes to "UPDATING" then bam, 120+ channels of commercial free everything.

They even have Sirius Speedway - 24/7 car talk show, local weather, local traffic, every news station you could dream of, 6 channels of electronic music (twice as many as XM) I could go on forever, I'm really happy with it!

The kit came with everything I needed, I was worried it wouldn't come with the AiNet cable, but sure enough it came with a MONSTER CABLE AiNet wire! Also came with a small magnetic antenna with very long/thin/strong wire, mounting hardware, fuses, etc.

If you've got an Alpine deck and have been waiting for this, wait no longer! You can also listen to all of the channels on your computer for free!

PS: This was on a CDA-9835, I pressed "source" and it went to "XM" then a cool animation of a planet w/ orbiting satellite starts up in the bottom left corner lol.

So I can get sirius in my car even though my alpine only supports XM?

Sirius is 12.95 a month but they have cool options like lifetime subscription for ~400 and yearly as well. They also give you all 120 channels straight up, no add on packages like XM. You can also listen to any stream and channel on your computer at no extra charge (basically like a free in home tuner.)
I think XM is 9.99/mo, Sirius had a LOT more dance/electronic channels with live broadcasts, as well as some awesome talk shows (Motor Trend and Sirius Speedway.) No brainer to me.. here are the pics.

Sorry for the crappy pics, I didn't have too much time to mess with the camera. The head unit is an Alpine CDA-9835 if anyone is curious.
