I was on the parkway, I bumped in to a modified black 1997 SS Camaro with red rims and red stickers going down the side under the mirror also singal exhaust, thats all I could tell. We had a little fun run off a 50mph roll. Anybody seen or know this guy?

damn, small world. any idea on his mods? i saw too many damn stickers but didnt get a chance to read them.

 

nah, i think its a 6 speed though, dont know what hes got in it. how did you know its a 97?

 

umm...single outlet exhaust on an SS?

possibly an import convert? since when have single exhausts been "in" for muscle cars?

 

I thought the 97's have the diffrent lights from the 98-2000 models. His headlights were not like the 2000 Camaro.

yes, i have seen it on SS's before, it has 2 pipes coming out form one side. Or sometimes it only has one pipe. I only see SS's with them. Maybe a domestic guy can jump in on this and teach us.

 

well the pre 98 4th gen fbodys have different lights, 98 and up have thier own, not just one year

 

hmm, i c. yeah it was the headlights right before the 2000 body headlights. The headlights were the ones that sit deep in the body, the rear light were almost the same as the 2000 ones I see.

 

I've seen a few single exhaust SSs up at Capitol...granted the piping was pretty huge (maybe 3"+ probably all the way back from the headers)

 

SLP sells a single output exhaust for SS's. It's a very nice exhaust system.
