the jdm sohc motors aren't different enough form the usdm one to warrant a swap.
if you're saying that you already have both of the motors, then probably boost the usdm one. it has a lower c/r and they're very plentiful and cheap.

Just boost whatever motor you have or is the cheapest to get. As long as you are not running high boost it will be fine, and if it does blow, it is an inexpensive replacement.
