Best Buy, and to my knowledge, Circuit City as well, have salesmen who don't make commission off of their TV sales. Thus no incentive to really introduce a group buy. The Big Screen Store or Tweeter people may be able to work the price a little bit, so ask them.

 

I'd be down on this too, I'm in the market for a flat panel tv, and have $$$ on hand.

 

I think he is looking for them to use their employee discount to get him the television.

 

that is what i was thinking, an employee could make some good extra cash if they bought 3 tvs, bump for someone needing a nice tv.

 

Also if an employee finds a good deal on one, lemme know.

 

Just to let you guys know....I used to work at a Circuit City and the employee discount isn't what it used to be. you are better off buying one on sale if you can't get one of the guys from another store...best buy, etc, to get one for you.

 

I would help you out bro, but I don't work at Bestbuy anymore. When I did work there, I helped my friend out and he got 500 off his 63" Sony Projection Wide Screen which was originally 2,400.

I quit from that hell hole and don't regret it. If anyone here is planning on applying there, here's a fair warning. Get ready for worthless meetings at 6 in the morning every Sunday.

 

I used to work there too. I friggin HATED getting up early for the stupid sunday meets, then having to work later that day...so they always weasled me to work the whole day. That and doing cycle counts at 5:00am, and working till 12:00 at night because jackasses were always calling in sick. Sorry, had to vent, dont work there.
