SR20 owners help
Hey I'm in woodbridge. I need my SR20DET Ecu tested... I just need to see if will start and run your car.
I have a wierd issue where the car starts and dies after about 30 seconds of running. I am not gonna put any more equipment in my car untill I know what I have works properly. So it's either my maf or my ecu not working properly.

But here is where I run into problems The wiring harness is semi new. I have 2 different mafs. I've pinned to the ecu the maf connectors. It's pinned right. Jim wolf told me how to trouble shoot the maf..I'm not getting any voltage from the maf when you blow into it. Other thing that is not making any sense is this.
Unplug the maf...start the motor. and it's almost drivable. It's not metering any air so you really can't go to far. I have proper vacuum, I have proper idle, I have everything that is suppose to be there. I've tried disconnecting the negative wire on bat to reset ecu..tried the screw. I've tried different mafs. I was thinking that with the IAC unplug she doesn't like to start. I could test that theory.
However, once you plug in the maf...she starts, Idle perfect for about 30 seconds...hickups.....then slowly dies. You can turn the key again and it will repeat the cycle over again.
I was thinking because of facts I have...Unmetered air...no increased volted from the maf. The rest of the motor should be fine..I have a start up gaurentry on the motor and it was started before it let the shop. It's just now I'm having this issue with it installed into the car. I feel it might be an ecu or maf related issue. that's why if I could verify the ecu is fine...then I could just suck it up purchase an SR20 Maf and wire it and call it a day.
Jim wolf said that if i had wired int he maf wrong I could have ruined the air meter tables on the ecu. I had the neg and signal wires reversed.
