Ok well I just recently purchased 2 17x9.5 and 2 18x10.5 Z06's. They have a polished finish and look great, but it says very clearly on the box that they are NOT clearcoated. I know polished wheels usually come clearcoated to keep from having to polish them everytime they get dirty.

If anyone knows where to get wheels clearcoated let me know.

Just remember to paint them black before the clear goes on...duh

 

I heard it's a different type of clear.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't they be "clear powder coated"?

 

Try American Stripping. I'll bet they could clear powdercoat them and it'd be pretty durable. I just picked up some stuff from them yesterday and the work is pretty good, especially for the price.



I'll be recommending them to anyone who needs powdercoat work.
