im thinking of turbo charging my 91 integra and i was wondering if i should rebuild my b18b motor that is in the car (i dont know how many miles are on it because it was swapd in be4 i bought the car) or look into swaping in a b17 and turboing that motor....which would be better and about how much do you think both would cost...im not to smart about this kinda shit so any help is apreciated
just build the non vtec into a turbo monster. you can use the money you saved from buying the b17 and build yuor motor you have now. or suspension mods most turbo cars need it.
a typical rebuild on a b18 motor will only cost around 450-500 bucks, thats with everything, bearings, piston rings, head gasket, water pump, etc etc... and then you have a fresh motor which will last you a long time and you can run more boost on it than a b17, you wont have vtec but who cares......and b17 motors arent cheap, id rather rebuild the b18 for the fact that you know its basically new and taken care of, you buy a used motor without rebuilding it and you have to take your chances on whether it was properly taken care of........but its your money and your car, not mine.....
