ok on sat i drove through this outrageous puddle, 10 mins later my speedo goes awol
my speedo will be fine my first 5 -10 mins drivin then it will bounce around, but if i let off the gas it will be fine, but shortly after it will just go down to 0

then today on the way back to work crusin around 65 my car's rpm starts dropping in 5thgr, i try and give it gas it just rev's no power, so i put it in 4th same thing, then when i get to the shoulder to pull over it goes and works fine...

anyone know what might be fuckin up ?

 

sounds serious...some people took a week before the effects of a hydro lock kicked in. you dont' have an intake do you?

i got stock itr intake w/no air box.....but the filter wasn't wet....the back of the motor and the side the pulleys are on was wet??

 

try to disconnect the battery for five minutes then re-connecting it.

fuse is fine...i think i got a short in my wire some where..cause we had to add a wire because im usin the Si ecu and my year hatch didnt have the speedo wire

 

Do you mean theres no speedo cable coming from the tranny? I would think the water would affect that.

 

mine did this exact thing when the battery was loose.....

maybe it will help.

 

I would think either the speedo cable or your alternator is messed up. When mine was my tach bounced.
