Default Custom exhaust?

I'm thinking of my 240's mods for the spring, and an exhaust is definaly on the list. I'm thinking I want 2.5 mandrel bent piping, and a small canister muffler, and a resonator. Anyone in the Richmond area you guys recommend? The major thing with this exhaust is ground clearence; doesn't need to be perfectly straight or anything, I just want to avoid rubbing. I just don't know any good shops in the area.

I have recommended The Muffler Shop in the past. They do good work and decent pricing. However it depends on which one and what kind of work. The one on Hull st. seems more expensive than the one on Horsepen rd. The one in the west end charged me less to have the cutout welded in on the Z/28 and my cutouts on my old exhaust on the Cobra.

They wanted to charge me 50 bucks to tack weld on some turn downs for my dumps. I had Meineke (Hull St & N Baileys bridge) Fab me a set instead from 16 guage galvanaized and weld them on and paint them for 20 bucks total.

I recommend both shops, plus the guy at Meineke does custom exhaust there on the side(H pipes, x pipes, etc).

Do you know if they can do IC piping? 240...it's richmond, so chances are most of those shops do their business with 80% domestics, but I've found most places don't really care and are decent towards import drivers.

had the Muffler Shop on Horsepen do my exhaust on my Volvo. 3" Turboback was $350 including 3 O2 bungs, cat and muffler installed (I brought my own). Should be cheaper for your car, yours is alot less complicated than mine.

none of that shit will be mandrel bent piping, who wants crush bend piping

i can do mandrel bent intercooler piping and exhaust piping, tig welded it or mig welded, it all comes down to cost

but for most imports i can get mandrel bent piping pre-bent to fit just has to be welded up that will help the cost alot

3" crush outflows 2.5" mandrel, so why not just go with the 3" crush. If you were going to go with 3" mandrel its another story maybe.

im not going to get in to explaining the flow of exhaust energy and why whats makes power and why some things dont

dyno proven 2.5 mandrel will still out flow 3inch crush if the car has a lot of bends
