Default Kill Thread ;) 1g fwd talon vs 2g fwd eclipse

I rarely street race so I figured I'd post this just for somethin to talk about .

Last night out at rice fest night, I figured I'd run this other dsmer I know by the name of fit. First time he brought this car out, he owns 2 1g's. Well he wanted to run somebody, and I wanted to tear the hell outa the rest of my tires before I put the new azenis's on today. He is running a 1g automatic fwd w/ fully built automatic tranny, pump, full turbo back 3" exhaust, new evoIII 16g, rollin on all 4 azenis's and I think a few other goodies, boostin 10-15 psi. You guys know my mods, if not then go to http://members.cardomain.com/uncwdragonfire .

Run 1:
Well we went out to this long street about 2 miles long, got his gf to flag for us, but being the stupid giggly girl she didnt know how to flag and of course didnt do it right, after we just showed her how to do it, oh well. He got the jump on the first run and had a car on me, I spun outa the hole thru first, second, and third, (all this time I had been feathering the clutch too, thats how bad my tires on the front are) then I finally caught third, and started catching up to him, by this time I think we were doin 50-60, by the time we hit 80 he drops down, and by that time my car was side by side with his :P

Run 2:
Well we turned around and decided to race the distance back, and since we had no flagger he decided to say go when I went, so I spooled up about 4psi off the line, feathered the clutch even more, caught traction in first gear, and left him

That's my street racing for the next few months lol...oh and as we were leaving a under cover detective comes rollin by, and when we got back on the main road, a cop was rolling by lol. I think we made an impression w/ the locals haha. That's why I do not street race often either.

P.S. At the end of the 2nd race when I had just finished driving down the road, my car starts smokin hella lot under the hood for like 2 minutes, smells like burnt turbo, but I kept driving it cause during the runs my car never knocked even 2deg (CEL light set for 2deg) and my coolant temp never got above 220deg (CEL light set for that too) so I figured my car was fine. I drove it home and even boosted it up to 15 a couple times, nothin bad happened. Time to get that new turbo tho
