More ecu ?'s
Ok bare with me because im just trying to get this right. Im about 2 convert my 2000 Hx to OBD1 with a p28 ecu. If im not misstaken this is off of a Z6 engine wich is VTEC. Now my engine, the Y5, is VTEC also but kicks in at around 2700-3100 unlike the Z6 wich kicks in much higher around 5K. Will this ecu move my VTEC up to where the Z6 kicks? If so will this affect any thing with my timing or anything else I would need 2 know about?
buy my rebuilt z6 head and swap it on. i believe that the y5 is "i-vtec"? or something, im not too familiar with the head but if you have a z6 head and a p28 you should have no problems with it in theory.. or a y8 head should work too

the y5 is vtec-E
its more environment friendly
i-vtec is liek the RSX's and TL's and TSX's and newer civics and shit
If all you're interested in is changing the vtec RPM, get a vtec controller. Changing to OBD1 is completely pointless unless you'll be tuning your engine and need the flexibility of an OBD1 ECU to use a Hondata system, etc.
