Default B16B Question

Everytime my friend comes to a stop and presses in the clutch his car dies.
It will start right back up and the does it again at the next stop. If he stayes on the gas it will not die. When the car is running at idle it is at around 1100 rpm. Any ideas?

No it seems to have a problem in the clutch/flywheel area.

If it's idling at 1100 RPM, it's not a clutch/flywheel problem. If something was wrong there, and loading the engine when in neutral, it would idle very low because of the load on it. It almost sounds like an IACV problem.

With the clutch out it idles fine, when you push the clutch in you can feel a knocking in the tranny and watch the rpm do down slightly. I do not know if the pressure plate is not completely taking the disk off the flywheel or what but when you rev the engine the knock in the tranny gets quickier.
