Default 2005 Tuner Bash at Piedmont...

Anyone go? We went and it sucked total ass. The car show was a disgrace to the import scene, and the burnout contest and reverse drag racing were nothing short of ridiculous. The drag racing was shitty as well, every time I came off the line all 4 tires were spinning and the car was trying to go sideways. NO one could hook up and the times were crap. Best I could manage was an 8.7...the car has pulled 7.8's before with a crappier tune and leaky BOV.

Biggest waste of a Saturday yet. At least I can say the fact that the track was so slick I still have my stock clutch intact.

Piedmont is a good track you just need to wait till later in the spring or during the summer when theyve had time to put plenty of track bite down. Its too early and just about any track is still gonna be "green" which=no traction.

I went 8 flat there a few years ago with old hard as a rock tires and only 20psi of boost (waste gate issues kept me from running 28psi). I hooked hard each run even when leaving at 14psi. Go back later and the track will be better I promise. Cant help you on the car show and reverse drag racing (WTF is that????) though.
