Anyone ever installed one on a civic? i cant find a good solid way to mount it... its a 12" proform fan. i guess i may have to fabricate a bracket, but i wanted to see if anyone had suggestions.

whats wrong with through the fin mounting? it should have come with a set of four plastic zipties that go through the fins. if not, a trans cooler installation kit will have them.

or you can fab a bracket, but thats the simplest.

if it looks anything like this one

then it should have come with a bunch of installation zip tie looking thingys, like FC735 said. And like he said, they go through the rad fins. I believe it says that on the instructions too that are printed on the box, its easy to miss though cuz most people look for paper instructions for stuff like that.

a fan that comes with zip ties as a mounting solution sounds like cheap shit to me...

honestly, thats what i thought too, but once i got it mounted, its not going anywhere. its also a hella lot easier than making brackets. the reason it didnt come with brackets is b/c it was a universal fit fan.

yeah but it'll work on almost anything. bracket fabing can be a headache if you're strapped for space...
