Why the fuck is it 53 degrees out here, 175 miles north in MD its 67 degrees and 600 miles north where my parents live in NH its 61 degrees!
Because you're down off of the coast, more heat is being absorbed by the water, which has a higher specific heat than the land. Therefore, you will have warmer winters (as the water retains heat better) but things will warm up slower because it takes the water more time to absorb heat energy.
