depends what you prefer. springs if you want a soft ride. coilovers if you want the option to adjust.

if u want to adjust, then u should get coilovers, springs are more softer, but u could get coilovers and spend the extra 200 for some new struts and have all new suspension with a soft ride. thats what i would do since u can always change the hight of ur car and still have a soft ride

That depends on the drop, the spring rates, and the mileage of your shocks. Some factory shocks can handle mild lowering springs but the best bet is to go ahead and get new shocks while everything is apart.

Hey, I just decided to go with the TEIN lowering springs, is there any way to put the springs on myself without the spring compressor? Or would I have to take it to a shop? Let me know.

I imagine you could take the front springs OFF without the compressor (make sure your life insurance is up to date) but you'll have a very hard time getting the new springs back on. You should be able to do the rears without a compressor with no problem. But there's really no reason to risk it since you can rent a spring compressor from most auto parts stores if you don't own one.

Hey, how hard are they to use? Would it be more worth it to just bring my car in with the springs, and ask them to install them?

Spring compressors aren't very hard to use at all. Just hook each end on a coil and crank them down until the shock can move freely, the take the shock apart. If you're good with basic tools it isn't a hard job to do yourself. But if you feel uneasy about it at all you should probably just pay to have it done.
