Does anyone know, If I only have a learner's permit, can I insure my bike with that? or I have to have a valid licence? (I'm a newbie)

It doesnt matter. The only way it will be lower is if you show them an MSF completion card, they might knock off a little more if you show them that. Having a license to ride a motorcycle only matters to the dmv/police.

from my experience it's best to call the place providing the class(TCC, TNCC) on Wednesday, because if someone is dropping out and wants a refund they will usually report by then, and typically there are at least 2-3 open spots by then. give it a shot and you may have the class finished quicker than you had planned
