I am looking for a supercharger for my chevy truck. I would like to get a mangna charger but its to much money. I have looked at a whipple charger and eaton charger, not sure whats good. So if any one has info on what is good and not good, I want to hear it.

 

my fiend has a kenybell on his lightning .. very nice charger... i persoanlly would prefer a turbo over super charger but i also .. do like the centrifical(sp) design like PRO charger or vortech

 

yeah I heard kenne bell where good, there just about 1g cheaper then a magna charger. About the same as a whipple. You like the turbo, but I find a loud whistle from a stand still cooler.

 

would u recommend I do any internal changes to the engine? I have heard its not necessary, just minor upgrades are need.

Go with MagnaCharger. When I was researching them for my Silverado truck a few years back, I definitely liked what I read.

MagnaChargers come with a 4 year warranty against engine damage. However, the price for this reliability is that their superchargers don't put out the highest boost levels out of all the superchargers in the market.
MagnaChargers CAN run on 87 octane.
And, in Truckin' Magazine a few years back, MagnaCharger was the ones making the TRD Superchargers. I don't know if that is still an accurate statement though, as its been 3 years.

 

yeah the magna charger is what the Silverado Joe Gibbs edition has. I was just wondering if any of this other chargers are any good. I mean the magna chager will take some more saving up to do but might be the way.
