Default I made it to Missouri

For those that know, I am now on active duty at Ft Leonardwood, Missouri for 1 year as a Drill Sergeant. This is the first time I had in a week to get online(waiting for my cable guy to come to my house this week). it's nice and hot(80-90 by noon) and muggy at times. All is well and I wont get my first cycle of recruits until August. Hope you all are enjoying VA.

I hear ya. So far I like it. I have no complaints. Soon as my cable guy gets in I will be up and running. But during my first 4 weeks(red Phase for the recruits) I wont be on being my days start @ 4am and end around 10 pm. But once they hit weeks 5-19 I will have more time and of course cycle breaks.

Colonel is trying to get a timeline for me for Top Secret Clearance fast track (3 months instead of 18) and a seat for the next specialized training session where I'd be in an "undisclosed location" for nearly 4 months after basic then some sort of lateral entry officer's training after that. Not sure on the details of the officer's training. The specialized training will most likely be "in a mountain" or at my assigned embassy, the details of that one are obviously kept muddled for the work I'll be assigned. My office will be 5 floors underground at the National Ground Intelligence Center out in Charlottesville (watch for me on CSPAN next year, haha). Taking a refresher Homeland Security training course now. After September, may not see me for awhile. Living life to the fullest before then.
