question about getting motorcycle license
hey guys, i was just wondering how hard it is to get a bike license. i have a legit driver's license in va...do i still need to take some type of class? im also 18. i tried reading up on it on the DMV website but it kinda confused me and im at work and have limited time on the computer/sites i can go to. (add to that im a valet @ hotel so i cant really be on the computer too long before a guest shows up wanting to get on). i know i need to pass the test, vision test...again though do i need to take a class or anythin like that and how long is it.

Re: question about getting motorcycle license
it is the msf course ,most community colleges have it . the cost is pretty close to 100 dollars but they teach you every thing from how to start the dam thing to how to turn it and so on just .check the local community colleges btw it is all weekend and then you go to the dmv and take a written test and you have an M on your licence

Re: question about getting motorcycle license
You have to go take a written test at the DMV for your permit which allows you to ride your bike with a licensed person during daylight hours. I believe you have to have your permit for at least 60-90 days before you can take the riding test. There is a waiting list for the MSF course at any community college. You can always be on stand by and if someone doesnt show up, u can get a slot. And Virginia requires liablity insurance on all licensed vehicles/motorcycles.
