choices
i went back to ccc yesterday to try and make up my mind between the cb 600 rr or the f4i. in yalls opinions which would be a better beginer bike. i have never riden street but i have riden dirt b4. i heard the seat on the rr is smaller but currently i have no female to ride on the back of it so it doesnt matter.
if you think somehting else would be a better bike please feel free to let me know. nothing over a 600 and i want new.
feel free to explain why you chose it or if you have experince what they have been like with either bike

Re: choices
For a beginner, I'd prefer the f4i. The seating is not too lean-forward (race like) and the seat on RR (both) is very thin, which is not comfortable for a long trip (i don't know if you just wanna use it as a show off instead of the fuction of it, which is the joy of riding).

Re: choices
I was just talking to someone yesterday who rode dirtbikes and tried a streetbike, while yes, there are a lot of simalarities he said that it was different and he almost wrecked. I personally am getting my own first bike but I am going for used. I figure I will drop it so I don't want to drop something I paid a fortune for. Plus I also figure that I will plan to upgrade to a larger bike in the future so I figure I wouldn't by new if I planned on upgrading once I do then I will. I don't know your situation but based on mine mixed with my friends I would reccomend used if you have the money to buy new you can buy a used bike nearly new for a couple grand less. Another thing I can reccomend is frame sliders... I personally have seen them save a ton o'shit. Just my $.02, take it for what it's worth.

Re: choices
There really aren't any similarites to street riding and dirt riding. The handling of the bike and how you need to react are complete opposites of each other.
The F4i is the better beginner bike for multiple reasons. I would never reccomend buying a new bike as your first one...........but I've repeated that several times on here and no one seems to want to listen to anyone that says that.

why are you so stuck on a new bike for a beginner bike? If you're financing you're going to be in the hole from the get go and it will only be worse once the bike has been dropped. There's a bunch of cheap $3k gsxrs and cbrs around to learn on

Re: choices
The difference between a F4i and 600RR is minimal if you are a new street rider. Both bikes are fairly quick and could get you in trouble. I would expect the learning curve to be VERY similiar.......easy on the throttle. I consider a beginner bike to be an SV or GS500 or smaller Ninja. It's very hard to determine a good beginner bike because many people do allright on a sportbike and some squids are just plain fools. As far as your choices above.......600RR is just a slightly more aggressive f4i. I'd take the 600RR.....even though I, along with many others, prob' wouldn't reco' it as a first bike.
I ride a 600RR.

Re: choices
the reason i want a 600 new is bc first off i cant see payin what i would be payin in a used bike when a brand new bike is like 2k more sometimes less. plus honda has a deal right now with a plan everything is covered for like 50 a month and when i say everything i mean everything. 2nd i want a warrenty. 3rd im stickin with this bike for a while i dont need anything bigger than a 600. 4th i plan on using it as a cruise bike im not trying to be worlds best stunt rider or even tryin to be one in the first place.
