New graduation gift
I Got a 1989 944 turbo red 5 speed. I duno if its fast tho my mom got it when she went to Germany and it just now arrive 2 mounths later. So can any one update it to me and tell me if its decent or some what.
Ps i drive a r32 so im hoping i will be surprised

Dude, I had an 86. I know too much about them.
First do all of the maintenance on it especially the timing belt. Then go for a basic MAF/chip kit and since you have the bigger turbo (K26/8), you'll be able to put over 300hp at the wheels by that alone. Then the next best bang for the buck is a mid-pipe that eliminates the cats; it's an extra 30 rwhp. (Actually, I might still have my extra one sitting in my garage, I gotta look.) Due to the turbo placement (under the manifold) you can't get really crazy with aftermarket turbos but a TO4E does **barely** fit. The intercooler is good for 500+ hp.
It was the last year for the 944 Turbos (I think, they could have had a couple 90s). They were 2.5 liters and actually faster than any of the 911s Porsche offered in 88 & 89.
And the 'weaker' 3.0L can put out 1100 hp turbocharged.
