Just heard on the phone that if you get the whole back window tinted (remove the 3rd brake light & then put it back) that you will have problems with inspection. Is that true? Because I think it looks dumb as hell when the tint is cut around the 3rd brake light

 

yep. illegal.

 

I've had mine for 3 years now, and haven't had a problem with it.

 

My friend's mom's IS300 was tinted and she's never had a problem until this year. They had to cut the tint off where it was covering the brake light and they did a super shitty job.

i dont have a third brake light anymore. been gone for about a few months now =]

 

any passenger vehicle manufactured after 1989 must have a CHMSL.


if you get away with it, great. but thats teh law.
