Default Damnit! I got a ticket.

Welp, I slipped up, and I deserve the ticket I got.. but boy do I wish he had been more forgiving and issued a lesser ticket. I got pulled for 50 in a 35, like an idiot, at about 12:30 tonight on Electric/Franklin. Should have known better than to speed on that section of the road, or over the speed limit by that much for that matter...

I've been a little throttle happy after making my car a bit faster this afternoon, and it got the best of me. He was in a damn good spot in the median, in the dark, with his lights all off... invisiblity. Blasphemy! Not that I intend to try to get off on a technicality, because I know judges absolutely hate that, but is it not true that they are required to have their parking lights on when taking radar at night? I guess not.

Welp, bye bye insurance rates. lol.. and they just went down!

To re-confirm, I realize I deserved to get a ticket for going 50 in a 35. I do, however, hope that by going to court and admitting guilt, I'll be able to at least get it dropped a tad... out of the kindness of the judges heart.

Anything to try and keep those rates low, and uhh.. keep my license. That would be ideal too.

if u admit guilt to 50 in 35 why would he drop it down?

i would either come up w/ a story and try to get out of it, or just pay the full amount...

I see it happen all the time. I'm not going to go to court to make up some bullshit story about why I was speeding. I was speeding. I was doing 15 over. Have mercy on my soul, and on my insurance, please.

If you are respectful and polite with the officer, which I was, and you are dressed neatly and respectful in the courtroom, they'll usually lighten up a little bit with the punishment stick. I don't expect to get out of it, but I would be grateful if the judge would drop it down to 1-9 over instead of 15 over. I think that's a point less, and will cost less in the long run.

Everybody slips up. That's why.

Where did he get you? I always see them sitting on 419 in front of Fink's in the median.
